My parents took me on a trip to Rome when I was twelve years old. Being a little kid at the time, I was more focused on eating all the pasta I could get my hands on. Add a couple slices of pasta and a few scoops of gelato, I grew up to be quite a chubby kid. Good thing I lost all that weight just in time for my trip back to The Eternal City last year. That time I went slow on the pizza and I took it easy with the malaga (rum raisin) gelato so I could be in good shape when I meet an Italian beauty on my Roman holiday.
My girlfriend and I broke up at the time so I decided to visit my uncle who resides in Rome. They say that one must experience an adventure when in Rome so I decided to try my hand in Italian dating. You see, I've always had this Italian fantasy of meeting a principessa and we'd go and experience Rome to ourselves. Kind of like Roman Holiday where I'm Gregory Peck and she's Audrey Hepburn. It didn't happen though, but I'm still glad I was able to meet Alessandra who is a classic Italian beauty.
My uncle introduced me to Alice who happens to be his good friend's daughter. Alice, as she's fondly called, is the perfect Italian woman. She dresses impeccably, accentuating her assets with the clothes she wears. I was told this is called the "Italian sensuality." Every word that comes out of Allie's mouth is worth listening to. In fact, this makes her a great tour guide as she took me to see the Fontana di Trevi and the Piazza di Spagna. Italian women have great bodies too. They have curves in all the right places and an exotic allure that is irresistible. Can you imagine how lucky Italian men are? With all their flirting expertise, they sure can get any hot Italian woman they want.
I did enjoy what Rome has to offer, but in the end I'd rather spend touring it with the girl I left home. After a few days I said arrivederci to my uncle and to Alice and went back home. It was a good thing my girl was willing to take me back. Now that we know we can't live without each other, we've been planning our trip to The Eternal City to give ourselves our very own Roman holiday.
